Translating does not just mean transferring a text, word-for-word, into another language. It is a question of interpretation – of being sensitive to meaning. The text in the target language should read as if it has been written by the original author. And this is exactly what I can offer you, no matter what kind of document you wish to have translated into German.

I was born and raised in Germany, and I have a long-standing love affair with my native language. No matter how much I enjoy other languages, or how fluent I am in them, German is the one where I instinctively know exactly how a sentence should sound and read, what kind of vocabulary I need to employ and, in fiction, how to empathize with a writer and keep the ‘voice’ of their characters.

My translations are polished and professional, and are always proofread before being delivered,   which is much appreciated by my clients, especially by those who know both languages.

Write to me at werrakind (at) gmail (dot) com or use the contact-form here on the blog. Send me your text and I will send you an estimation of price and duration.
